Parties

Parties. Every high school has them. Whether you're hosting it or attending, here are special guidelines to having a great night.

Girl Code for throwing a party:

1) Pick a theme.
Choosing a theme creates excitement and starts the party off on the right foot.
2) Don't go overboard on decorating
Streamers, a few balloons, and food is the perfect amount of decor. Too many supplies can be a waste of money and lead to a huge mess.
3) Make a guest list.
No one wants a bunch of randoms at the party. They tend to crash it- making the party have out of control with people that you don't know or even don't like.
4) Don't invite people who won't enjoy themselves.
We know all that girl who sits on her phone in the corner of the party. She obviously isn't enjoying herself so maybe next time you shouldn't invite her.
5) Food.
Food is an essential part of a good party. Purchase chips, pizza, cookies, any kind of junk food and you're set.

Girl Code for attending a party:

1) Wear appropriate clothing.
It usually gets warmer at inside parties, so sweatshirts are not the ideal clothing choices. However, this does not mean dress inappropriately- that will attract the wrong crowd (unless that's what you're looking for)
2) Don't bring people that weren't invited.
There is an exception, if you ask the host/hostess if your friend can come and they allow it, you may bring them. Otherwise, go with friends that were originally invited to avoid conflicts.
3) Have fun.
You're at a party, have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Friendships

Hello Followers! Today were going to be talking about something very serious: FRIENDSHIPS!

Friendships can be a very serious topic for many people. Your friends are the people who make you who you are. Your friends are the ones who are always there for you, even when everyone else isn't. The definition of a friend is a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. Sometimes friendships can be difficult. Sometimes other friends or boys can even come between you and another friend. Here are some girl codes about friendships that could benefit you and your friends relationships:

Girl Code #1: DON'T EVER LET A BOY COME BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR BEST FRIEND. It will never end well and most of the time the boy wins.... sadly.

Girl Code #2: Always tell your friends how you are feeling. Your friends can help you solve all your issues and help you achieve happiness again.

Girl Code #3: Put aside special time for you and your friends. We all know our lives can be crazy, but spending time with friends is important. Maybe once a week, set aside some time to meet your friends to just catch up and talk outside of school and keep each other updated on your lives. These friendships will last the rest of your lives.

Valentines Day!

Ladies…. and guys too, Valentine's Day is approaching very quickly. In fact it's only 2 days away. Still don't know what you and your valentine should do together? No worries! We've got some tips for you! Valentine's Day is a day to show everyone how much you love them and how much they mean to you. February 14th only comes once a year. Guys.. heres how we envision a perfect valentine's day.

Sam wakes up on Valentine's Day and looks at her phone to see that her boyfriend of 1 year had texted her a good morning Valentine's day text. He tells her that tonight he plans to take her to their favorite restaurant, and after that, he has a surprise for her, he is going to take her to the place where they first met and relive that happy moment again.

Guys, Valentine's Day doesn't have to be expensive. Sure girls love chocolate and flowers and jewelry, but most of all they're just happy that they can spend the day with their valentine. If your budget is tight, how about a collage of the places where you guys first met, or had your first kiss. How about a little gift basket of a few of her favorite things, like favorite candy and maybe her favorite movie?

Girls, the same goes for you too. Valentines Day is about showing your valentine how much you love and care for them. If your budget is tight, how about a gift basket too? Or maybe a cool new tshirt or maybe a cool pair of socks? Maybe bake him something too! You do know that they best way to a mans heart is through his stomach. ;) They seem to be the new latest trend lately! And who could go wrong with   a nice handwritten card? Write some of your inside jokes down if you two have any and when they read the card they wil laugh.

And what if you don't have a Valentine or a special someone? That doesn't mean anything! Our friends all like to get each other some candy or some chocolates, and we write each other notes on Valentine's Day just to show how much we mean to each other, and how important our friendship is to one another! Maybe get a group of your friends together and go see that new movie "Endless Love"! Thats what we plan on doing!

We hope you guys enjoyed our blog and if you have any tips on how to make Valentine's Day perfect for your Valentine comment down below! Thank you so much for reading, and stay tuned for the next blog! :)

 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY <3

What To Wear

The group is settled, tickets are bought, and the plans are finally set.  It's now down to crunch time for Sadie's. The theme is dancing through the decades. You and your date need to pick a decade to dress as. This decision is not as easy as it seems. There are so many options! As a girl it's pretty easy to dress up, for a boy it's much harder and can be even more expensive. The Sadie Hawkins dance is normally very informal. Some themes work great for being informal, others not so much. Some of the girls wanted to go with the theme "roaring twenties". So the girls would go in flapper dresses , boys would go in a tux. As much fun as that theme would be, it would not be fair for boys. Prices of a tux are very expensive and for an informal dance that may be too much. The girls want to be considerate and pick something simple, yet fun. We settled on the fifties. The girls are going as pink ladies, and the boys are going as Greasers. This is easy to find and buy without being to hard. Everything is finally settling into place and we are ready to have some fun!!

Sadies is coming up!!!

Sadie's is in three weeks!! There is still so much to get done: dinner reservations, location for pictures, and of course outfits.
Everyone wants to eat at different places causing complete chaos. You need to make sure everyone is okay with the chosen restaurant, but there comes a point where someone needs to make a decision. Who makes the decision? That's the tough part.
Picture can be taken at someone's house, a park, or a popular place around town with a scenic view.
The theme is Dancing through the Decades, so like poodle skirts, hippies, and greasers. So far our ideas include 80s work out people, flapper girls, and/or pink ladies.

Be sure to check out or blog for more tips, advice and suggestions. Feel free to comment if you have questions!

More Drama with the Sadie Hawkins...

Well, the Sadie's drama is still among us at our school. Everything worked out for the best, and they're all very excited for the dance. The theme is Dancing through the Decades. The group were all going in wants something fun and exciting to dress up as. We want the whole school to be like "WOW! Come on, how come we didn't think of that idea!"

The dance should be a fun time for everyone. They should be able to enjoy their stress- free night with all their friends, dressed in their favorite decades attire. Here some tips that we've gathered from our past experiences at dances that will help you guys have a memorable and enjoyable night:
  1. Don't ditch your date at the door. Enjoy your dates company, but don't feel like you have to be around them the whole entire night.
  2. Pick something to wear that will look good, but also be comfortable to dance in and abide by the dress code.
  3. Don't crowd surf. Even though it looks fun, you will most likely get kicked out for safety reasons and it will ruin the night for you and your date.
Need some ideas on how to ask someone to the dance? Here is a few we found on Pintrest. Check out the link: http://www.pinterest.com/daxie2265/sadies-ideas/

The Sadie Hawkins Dance

Sadie's...one of the most stressful dances for girls. As you probably all know, this dance is where the girls ask the guys. Our Sadie Hawkins dance is in about a month, and the drama is at a peak. Girls are already starting to ask their dates, yet the dance is still far away. The claws are coming out. Girls get ready to get feisty.
Each year, someone always has to cause problems.

Girl Code #1: Never ask a boy that one of your friends is already planning on asking. Unless, of course, you want to start drama. At my school, Sadie's drama is always an issue. Who is going with who, who wants to go with who, and who doesn't want to go with who...because you don't want to ask someone who doesn't want to go with you. All of this is already a problem at our school.
Girl Code #2: Always ask the boy in a creative way. No one wants to be asked with a boring idea. But one of the hardest ideas about Sadie's is coming up with a clever idea that no one else is using. Puns are always a two thumbs up.
Girl Code #3: Make sure to make plans early. Figure out dates an groups as soon as possible. Also, figure out who is going where before the dance, and after the dance. This avoids unnecessary drama that could ruin the night. Also, ask a boy who you will have a good time with! It is never good to have an awkward date...it only leads to more drama.

Comment below your opinions on this situation: one of many that girls have to go through each and every day.

Welcome to the life of your average teenage girl.
